3b75e47f8f [massive] add support for alternative C libraries (currently only glibc/eglibc) 
other (related) changes:
 - kernel headers are now installed using "make headers_install" on 2.6
 - target names now contain an openwrt "vendor" tag (e.g. mips-openwrt-linux-gnu)
 - build directory names now contain gcc/libc name/version
 - default cpu for x86 is now i486 (required to build glibc/eglibc)

a5c9910ae2 remove the openat() patch, as it's breaking quite a few packages. 
the problem is in the AT_FDCWD define, which packages check for to
see if fdopenat, openat, fstatat, etc. are supported, but the patch
only adds openat() and not the other functions.
this should probably be fixed upstream and not just in openwrt.

31b995b49c The merge of ppc (32-bit headers) and powerpc (previously 64-bit only headers) has now been completed, so it build breaks if asm-ppc headers directory does not exist - this should fix this problem without being invasive
